1. Petronas Twin Towers
When : The Petronas towers are brilliant to visit in the late afternoon around sunset, to help capture the day and night shots, but more importantly the golden hour and blue sky.
Where : The below shot was taken from 86th floor of Tower Two, the top most floor that is open for public visit.
Good to know :
The security for tour up the tower was quite strict. One had to deposit tripods, go pro handles etc at a locker at the entrance. Everyone gets split into and organized in groups, and there is one guide/organizer allocated per group. Each group is associated with a coloured tag, and everyone must always wear the tag at all times within the towers visit. There are two stops, one at the skybridge at 41st floor and another at the 86th floor observation deck. The tour in itself is a bit rushed with about 10-15 minutes at each stop.

Fact : The Petronas Towers are two very tall skyscrapers in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. They were the tallest buildings in the world until 2004, but still remain the tallest twin buildings. Each tower has 88 floors and they are connected by a sky-bridge between the 41st and 42nd floors. It is a commercial office building, with certain levels open to public.
The skybridge is designed as a safety device, in cases of some events like a fire or other emergency occurs on one tower, the tenants in that tower can evacuate to the other tower by crossing the Sky Bridge.
2. Batu Caves
When : If you get a chance, do visit Batu Caves earlier in the day.Good to know : Visiting earlier in the day, you will get to avoid crowd and the sun. Starting from 9:30am/10am, it gets crowded. If you plan to climb up the steps to the caves, then you will also save some energy by climbing in the shade.
Be aware of the nature and animals around, and treat them with care. The place is frequented by monkeys, peacocks. Do not feed them.

Fact: Batu Caves is one of the most popular Hindu shrines outside India, and is dedicated to Lord Murugan. It is the focal point of Hindu festival of Thaipusam in Malaysia, and gets very crowded then.
For a small entrance fee 5MYR per person, there is a nice relaxing space with a pond, waterfall and caves that offer a cool space with a lot of sculptures of Indian and Tamil historically influential figures like Thiruvalluvar etc. You would also likely meet peacocks wandering around, turtles having a snooze.
3. Colmar
Good to know : There are a few mini trips that one can go around in Colmar.

4. KL skyline
One of the most beautiful skylines in the world
Where: This was taken from our apartment where we stayed in Kuala Lumpur.
5. Thean Hou Temple
Fact : The Thean Hou Temple is a 6-tiered temple to the Chinese sea goddess Mazu. It is located on 1.67 acres (6,758 m2) of land atop Robson Heights on Lorong Bellamy, overlooking Jalan Syed Putra. It was completed in 1987 and officially opened in 1989. The temple was built by Hainanese living in Malaysia.When : The temple is brilliant to visit in the late afternoon, to avoid too much crowds, and follow into the evening for a relaxing meditative time.
Cost: Free
6. Shopping Malls
There are a lot of shopping malls in KL, some of the ones worth a visit Sunway Pyramid, Suria KLCC. The malls are good for a short stroll on sun scorching afternoon.
